Residential mortgages with HSBC Expat - Mortgage payment options

Choose the type of rate that works for you

When deciding which rate is right for you, HSBC Bank plc, in the UK generally offer three types of residential mortgage rates - fixed, tracker and discount rates. For all HSBC Bank plc, in the UK mortgage products the greater your equity or deposit, the lower your Loan to Value (LTV) is, and so the better the rate HSBC Bank plc, in the UK can offer you.

Fixed rate mortgage

A Fixed rate mortgage gives you peace of mind that your mortgage payments will be the same every month until an agreed date, whatever happens to interest rates. HSBC Bank plc, in the UK fixed rate mortgages revert to the HSBC Variable Rate at the end of the fixed rate period.

Tracker mortgage

With a Tracker mortgage the interest rate is set at an agreed percentage above the Bank of England base rate - so the interest you pay will rise and fall in line with changes to the base rate.

Discount mortgage

Discount rate mortgages offer an agreed discount off the HSBC Variable Rate - so your monthly payments will go up and down as the HSBC Variable Rate changes. HSBC Bank plc, in the UK discount rate mortgages revert to the HSBC Variable Rate at the end of the discount rate period.
