Am I eligible?

To be eligible to bank, save and invest with us, you must maintain a minimum balance of £25,000*, or currency equivalent. All customers must be aged 18 or over.

Is HSBC Expat for me?

Do I need to be an expat?

No. Based in the offshore jurisdiction of Jersey (Channel Islands) we may be able to provide a secure home for your money if you live in a country that's politically or economically unstable.

Our expat services

*We offer two service levels - HSBC Advance and HSBC Premier.

To qualify for HSBC Advance, your minimum Relationship Balance must be £25,000. There's no monthly fee for our Advance service, but you'll be charged a £15 underfunding fee for any month when your Relationship Balance falls below £25,000.

To qualify for HSBC Premier, your minimum Relationship Balance must be £60,000. As an HSBC Premier customer you'll enjoy a range of exclusive benefits. There's no monthly fee, but you'll be charged a £35 underfunding fee for any month when your Relationship Balance falls below £60,000. Read more about our minimum balance requirements.
