Am I eligible?

To be eligible to bank, save and invest with us, you must maintain a minimum balance of £25,000*, or currency equivalent. Read more about our minimum balance requirements.
All customers must be aged 18 or over.

Is HSBC Expat for me?

You could benefit from our products and services if:

Do I need to be an expat?

No. Based in the offshore jurisdiction of Jersey (Channel Islands) we may be able to provide a secure home for your money if you live in a country that's politically or economically unstable.

To enable us to comply with our anti-money laundering obligations and cross border marketing requirements, we reserve the right to review or screen new applications and in some cases this may lead to us declining certain applications. The minimum balance required to open an account may differ for a limited number of countries' nationals or residents. Please contact us if you require further information before applying.

*HSBC Advance is free of monthly charges, however, a £15 underfunding fee will apply for any given month where your Relationship Balance falls below the minimum.
