HSBC Premier customers can link their HSBC accounts held in 27 different countries through their Global View Internet Banking service and view them from a single screen.

A number of these countries are additionally participating in the Global Transfers service, which allows you to transfer money between your eligible HSBC accounts almost immediately. In the future, additional countries will be participating in this service.

Using IBANs (International Bank Account Number)
Send the payment quoting your IBAN number along with the associated BIC (Bank Identifier Code): MIDLGB22

Instruct your bankers to send an 'authenticated SWIFT MT103 message' direct to our SWIFT address MIDLJESH, quoting the currency of the payment, payment amount, your name and your account number.

The remitting bank also needs to send a 'SWIFT cover (MT 202) payment message' to our correspondent bank (details below). The account name will always be 'HSBC Bank International Limited'.

What is an IBAN?

An IBAN is a series of numbers and letters that uniquely identifies your account. If you use this number in conjunction with a BIC (Bank Identifier Code) code, you can help prevent delays and unnecessary costs when remitting funds to us. A BIC code is also known as a SWIFT code.

When should I use an IBAN?

An IBAN number should be used, instead of an account number, when transferring funds to your account from banks in mainland Europe.

If you are sending funds to your Offshore account from outside of Europe, you may still be able to use an IBAN instead of your account number, subject to local requirements. If you do use your account number to transfer funds to us, you should use the payment details as described under the 'Sterling payments' or 'Currency payments' headings above.

Please note: 1) A BIC must always be quoted when using an IBAN number. 2) If you are quoting an IBAN number when transferring funds to us, you do not need to quote your account number as well. The numbers contained within your IBAN will not match your account number. This is due to the way that IBANs are generated for HSBC Bank International Limited.

What is my IBAN number?

The IBAN number associated with your account can be found in your welcome letter/email, paper statements and within Internet Banking. To find an IBAN number in Internet Banking; once logged on, simply click on 'Accounts',then 'Account summary', then the relevant 'Account number' and then 'Account overview'. Alternatively contact us on the details at the bottom of this page.

If you experience issues when using your IBAN when sending funds to MIDLJESH, please use your account number instead.
