What happens in a financial review?

Financial review

A financial review is the first step we take to help you grow and protect your wealth. Do you want to save for the future? Protect your family? Make retirement plans? In a financial review our wealth managers take time to understand your objectives.

We'll work with you to select the investments that are most suited to your needs, selecting products from our Worldwide Fund Service , to bring to you only those who stand out in their peer group. We'll also discuss the protection policies available to you - and recommend options that are in line with your plans, priorities and attitude to risk.

When you book a financial review with us, you'll get:

  • expert advice - from a specialist in financial planning for expats
  • a comprehensive report - with details of investment, protection and retirement solutions to suit your circumstances
  • impartial recommendations - backed by HSBC's global research teams
  • a personalised investment portfolio - based on your financial objectives and attitude to risk.

Please remember that the value of investments, and any income received from them can fall as well as rise, is not guaranteed and you may not get back the amount you invested. This could also happen as a result of changes in currency exchange rates, particularly where overseas securities are held or where investments are converted from one currency to another. We always recommend that any Investments held should be viewed as a medium to long-term investment, at least five years.
