Offers the potential for a better return than our standard fixed term deposits

Stockmarket Linked Investment Account issue 5 is now closed

Our new Stockmarket Linked Investment Account aims to look after your investment and provide growth at the end of a 5 1/2 year term. Linked to the FTSE® 100 Index and the S&P 500® index, this product offers the potential to get a better return than our standard fixed term deposit if one or both of the indices have risen sufficiently (after final averaging) at the end of the term. At the end of the term, if the combined indices haven't grown then no interest will be paid. The product aims to return your deposit as long as you haven't withdrawn your money early.

You can buy online or speak to a HSBC Wealth Manager to discuss whether this is suitable for you.

The latest issue of our Stockmarket Linked Investment Account offers:

  • Term deposit
Invest for a fixed term of five-and-a-half-years.
  • Lump sum interest
You'll receive 67% (USD) of the combined growth of the FTSE ® 100 and the S&P 500® indices (after final averaging).
  • Your deposit back
The product aims to return your initial deposit should both indices fall.
  • Investing currency
Invest in US dollars. The minimum investment is US$ 25,000 and the maximum investment is US$ 500,000.

Our Stockmarket Linked Investment Account is available in different issues throughout the year. After each issue closes you will not be able to invest further in the product, and issues may be withdrawn early if oversubscribed. View full details of our current issue by selecting the 'Details: Issue 5' tab above.
