We're asking you to review and where necessary amend your personal details. It should only take 5-10 minutes and is just one way to help us tackle fraud, keep your money safe and fight financial crime. It's also a regulatory requirement.

Make sure you have your ID, such as your passport, to hand for all nationalities or citizenships that you hold, as well as addresses and moving dates for the last 3 years and your employment details before following the steps below.

  • You will need the reference code contained in the HSBC Expat email we sent and the mobile number associated with your account1
  • Select the red 'Submit my details' button and enter the reference code, then your mobile telephone number
  • We will text you a one-time password
  • Follow the instructions to complete and submit your personal details
